Holiday Inn Bursa City Centre has been awarded the Sustainable Tourism Certification, one of the most prestigious recognitions in this field, for its environmentally friendly practices and contributions to sustainable tourism.

Under the umbrella of Yeşilova Holding, Holiday Inn Bursa City Centre has received the highest level of sustainable tourism certification awarded by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC). Following inspections conducted among IHG Hotels & Resorts Group member hotels across Turkey, Holiday Inn Bursa City Centre has proven its quality and success, becoming one of the first hotels in Bursa to receive this certification.

Holiday Inn Bursa City Centre General Manager Sami Sarpkaya, explaining that the certificate was awarded as a result of the hotel’s dedicated efforts and practices in environmental sustainability, said, “During the certification process, various practices such as energy efficiency improvement projects, recycling implementations, and water-saving measures at our hotel were examined. We are honored to have excelled in these inspections. Receiving the sustainable tourism certificate is a great source of pride for our hotel because environmental sensitivity and sustainability are foundational to our entire Group. While offering our guests a comfortable stay, we also aim to be respectful to nature. This certificate is a testament to our team’s dedicated efforts and our commitment to sustainability.”

Holiday Inn Bursa City Centre, which uses ecological and recyclable materials in guest rooms and throughout the hotel, implements various sustainable tourism practices. In addition to providing an electric vehicle charging station for its guests, the hotel undertakes initiatives to save energy and reduce waste and water consumption in both rooms and common areas.
