The Ordinary General Assembly of the Turkish Aluminum Industrialists Association (TALSAD) was held. At the first meeting of the newly elected board of directors following the General Assembly, Yeşilova Holding Chairman of the Board Ali İhsan Yeşilova was elected as the Chairman of TALSAD.
The 2024 Ordinary General Assembly Meeting of the Turkish Aluminum Industrialists Association was held in Istanbul. At the general assembly meeting held on May 6, 2024, the newly elected Board of Directors elected Ali İhsan Yeşilova, Chairman of the Board of Yeşilova Holding, as the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
WE WILL TAKE STEPS TO SHAPE THE FUTURE
Ali İhsan Yeşilova, who assumed the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Aluminum Industrialists Association for the 2024-2026 term, said in his speech at the general assembly:
“In today’s world, we are faced with a rapidly changing and transforming business environment. The aluminum sector is also in a critical position in this process of change and transformation. Today, the use of aluminum with its superior qualities is increasing, especially in the automotive industry and all other industries. In the new term, we will plan steps to shape not only today but also the future. One of our association’s primary goals in this period will be to increase its effectiveness on national and international platforms. To achieve this, we will strengthen our collaborations, keep up with developments, and of course, support sustainability-focused projects. At the same time, we will enhance the competitiveness of our sector by producing solutions tailored to the needs of our members. The opinions of our members are also very valuable to us. In line with the principles of cooperation and transparency, we will listen to each of their thoughts and draw our goals together. We will take TALSAD much further. By working together, we will share a period full of success.”
In his speech, Yeşilova, defining aluminum as the metal of the century, said, “Aluminum is gaining more usage areas in the industry every day thanks to its superior qualities such as its lightweight nature, being the most abundant element in the world, and being infinitely recyclable. I believe the aluminum industry is preparing to experience its golden age.”
Ali İhsan Yeşilova, who served as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Aluminum Industrialists Association for the 2022-2024 term, took over the role from Ali Kibar, who was elected Honorary Chairman for the new term.
ALI IHSAN YEŞILOVA BIOGRAPHY
Ali İhsan Yeşilova completed his primary and secondary education in Bursa. He graduated from Bursa Commercial High School and then from the Literature Department of Bursa Boys’ High School. Continuing his education at Bursa Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences, Yeşilova graduated from the Business Administration Department. During his academic education, he started working in a company trading aluminum profiles. In 1975, he took over this company and continued his business life under the brand ‘Can Aluminum’. Following Can Aluminum, the first company of the Yeşilova Group, founded in 1975, he successively established Canel Otomotiv in 1988, Cansan Aluminum in 1990, Can Metal in 1993, and Canray Ulaşım in 2018. Ali İhsan Yeşilova founded Holiday Inn Bursa City Centre, Yeşilova Group’s tourism subsidiary, in 2017, Cansan Aluminium Profil GMBH operating in Germany in 2018, and Yeşilova Foreign Trade company in 2023. Ali İhsan Yeşilova, who continues to be a member and actively serve in many non-governmental organizations, still serves as the Chairman of the Board of Yeşilova Holding.
