The Yeşilova Community hosted its annual ‘The Stage is Yours’ event as part of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on 25 November. The event provided important information on gender equality, women’s rights and combating violence.
At the event, held in the Amphitheatre Hall of the Yeşilova Holding Hasanağa Campus, the expert team from Mor Salkım discussed the forms of violence women encounter in their daily lives, the psychological and sociological effects of this situation, the role of social norms, and the misconceptions that fuel the cycle of violence, using case studies. In addition, comprehensive information was shared on the legal processes to be followed in cases of violence, application mechanisms, and support services. Mor Salkım representatives made important reminders regarding both individual and societal methods of struggle.

The event, which saw broad participation from field and office workers from companies within the community, once again reinforced Yeşilova’s sustainable approach to gender equality. Throughout the event, employees actively participated by asking questions about the issues encountered, proposed solutions and support mechanisms.
